The common takeaway for those watching Georgia football this season is that the Bulldogs are an elite quarterback away from becoming a dominant force in college football.

However, according to former Vanderbilt quarterback and SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers, there could be more being done to help the Bulldogs on offense instead of pinning everything on signal-caller Stetson Bennett.

“They’re not really trusting of those young guys and being able to execute (movement) and their responsibilities on the play” said Rodgers in a conversation with Georgia beat writer Mike Griffith of Dawg Nation.

“I think they are a little handcuffed in what they would like to do right now, but they still need to push the ball downfield.”

Rodgers also believes Georgia offensive play-caller Todd Monken could do more to get the ball in the hands of his playmakers.

“I think Kearis Jackson is the most dynamic and well-rounded receiver they have, but you’ve got to get George Pickens the ball more” said Rodgers.

“I think he’ll be back against Florida, and I think that it will be a great opportunity to build upon how I think they want to use him.”

Florida’s defense has struggled for most of the season, and this could be the best wide receiver core and offensive line the Gators have seen all season. It will be interesting to see what kind of success Bennett has throwing the ball against a Florida team that has allowed over 29 points per game this season.
