SEC Network analyst has surprise No. 1 team in the SEC, lists 1-14

SEC Network host Dari Nowkhah regularly releases his power rankings of how he sees the league’s teams, and this week, he had an eyebrow-raising team at No. 1.
Perhaps he was especially impressed with Auburn’s rout of Georgia, or looking for a reaction from Alabama fans, but Nowkhah put the Tigers at No. 1 in the league. Nowkhah clarified that the rankings are based on how the teams look currently, and if they were to play tomorrow. “No other factors.”
Nowkhah kept his top six largely the same from last week, but the order shifted slightly, as he had the top six teams in the following order: Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, LSU and Mississippi State.
Predictably, there were plenty responses to the latest rankings, including some who said he had Tennessee ranked “too high” at No. 14, and teams ranked below opponents despite head-to-head wins.
Check back next week to see how Nowkhah adjusts his rankings as we head into rivalry week and the regular season finales.
