The SEC Network features several promising young reporters, and Alyssa Lang has ranked near the top of that list for quite some time as both a sideline reporter and program host.
The South Carolina alumna has been with the network since 2018, and has quickly emerged as one of the fastest rising stars in the industry while also becoming a mainstay on SEC sidelines on fall Saturdays.
Now, Lang will be taking her talents to a new arena, with Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports reporting that she has been announced as the newest NBA sideline reporter ahead of the 2025-26 season.
In addition to her role as a sideline reporter covering college football, Lang has also served in a similar position on the hardwood while with the SEC Network, so this new chapter is a logical next step for her career.
While Lang will be spending time covering pro basketball for ESPN, that doesn’t mean that she’s giving up her sideline duties covering football. She took to X to let everybody know she isn’t leaving the SEC, and will be working this Saturday’s matchup between Ole Miss and Washington State.
Lang is one of the best in the business, and her new promotion to the NBA ranks is well deserved. The fact that she’s also retaining her duties covering SEC football is also a massive plus to everybody who watches gridiron action in the south on fall Saturdays.
