With seven matchups involving Southeastern Conference teams on the docket, here’s a list of the player to watch in each SEC game for Week 10:
12:00 p.m., Louisiana-Monroe at Texas A&M, SEC NETWORK
Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
Freshman defensive end Myles Garrett enters with 7.5 sacks through eight games. With four games remaining, Garrett is an assisted sack shy of tying Jadeveon Clowney’s SEC freshman sack record.
3:30 p.m., No. 11 Georgia vs. Florida, CBS
Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
Nick Chubb has emerged as a breakout star in the absence of Todd Gurley. Saturday’s annual SEC matchup against Florida should be no exception as the freshman will carry the load of Georgia’s offense.
4:00 p.m., Kentucky at Missouri, SEC NETWORK
Patrick Towles, QB, Kentucky
Patrick Towles emerged as a dual-threat option by leading Kentucky in rushing yards against No. 1 Mississippi State. He also threw for a career-best 390 yards, accounting for 466 of the Wildcats 504 total yards.
7:00 p.m., Old Dominion at Vanderbilt, ESPNU
Ralph Webb, RB, Vanderbilt
Ralph Webb enters Saturday’s game with 589 yards and two touchdowns on 138 rushing attempts. The Gainesville, Fla., native is on pace to break the school’s freshman rushing record of 798 yards set by Kwane Doster in 2002.
7:00 p.m., No. 3 Auburn at No. 4 Ole Miss, ESPN
Nick Marshall, QB, Auburn
Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall is coming off a stellar performance that saw him record four touchdowns (three rushing and one passing). The senior needs to see another big performance against one of the nation’s best defenses.
7:15 p.m., Arkansas at No. 1 Mississippi State, ESPN2
Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State
Heisman favorite Dak Prescott had another strong showing against Kentucky last weekend. The Bulldogs quarterback will look to continue his success against SEC West rival Arkansas.
7:30 p.m., Tennessee at South Carolina, SEC NETWORK
Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee
Entering Saturday’s game facing a 13-0 deficit that grew to 20-0 by his second series, Joshua Dobbs managed to spark Tennessee’s offense by adding a dual-threat option capable of producing on the ground AND through the air.
The sophomore threw for 192 yards, two touchdowns and an interception on 19-of-32 passing and added a team-best 75 rushing yards on 19 attempts. The Vols outscored the Tide 20-14 for the remainder of the game, despite losing 34-20.
