What’s clear to football fans everywhere is clear to the Super 16 voters: Alabama remains No. 1.
A mix of 45 distinguished football writers and College Football Hall of Famers voted on the top 16 teams in the country, the No. 1 Crimson Tide is the only representative from the SEC. The Big Ten leads all conference with four teams, while the ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12 have three each.
Here’s the full poll, released by the Football Writers Association of America and the National Football Foundation:
- Alabama (45 first-place votes)
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Washington
- Michigan
- Wisconsin
- Penn State
- Oklahoma
- Colorado
- USC
- Oklahoma State
- Florida State
- Western Michigan
- West Virginia
- Navy
- Louisville
Among the teams which missed the cut, Auburn and Florida were the top-two vote getters. LSU and Tennessee were the other SEC teams to receive votes. The final Super 16 poll of the season will be released next week.
