ESPN updated the SEC QBR (total quarterback rating) leaders following Week 1 action.

The list comprises 12 SEC quarterbacks who saw at least 20 plays of action. Auburn’s TJ Finley did not satisfy the requirement and LSU plays Sunday evening at 7:30 pm EST.

QBR takes the strength of the opponent into account, rating a quarterback’s play on a scale of 0-100. Both passing and rushing are included in the projections.

Here’s how the list shakes out:

  1. Stetson Bennett: 97.3
  2. Bryce Young: 96
  3. Anthony Richardson: 94.8
  4. Will Rogers: 82.4
  5. KJ Jefferson: 81.7
  6. Hendon Hooker: 79.9
  7. Jaxson Dart: 79.7
  8. Mike Wright: 74.9
  9. Brady Cook: 72.5
  10. Haynes King: 49
  11. Will Levis: 46
  12. Spencer Rattler: 28.6

Rattle struggled in his South Carolina debut while Stetson Bennett looked like an all-star. The significant drop off from Richardson to Rogers and Cook to King is noteworthy as well.
