Since 2010, LSU has played in a league-high 28 games decided by a single possession and the Tigers have won 18 of those contests. Their .643 winning percentage trails only Auburn’s .769 and Mississippi State’s .684 (included three overtime wins) decided by a 8 points or fewer during that stretch.
Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide, who have two national titles over that stretch, is 7-7 in close games. Only two of Alabama’s nine total losses since 2010 came by more than one possession — 2010 at South Carolina and 2013 vs. Oklahoma.
