SEC recruiting rankings by average commit rating reveal different story for 2019 class
The hopes and dreams of every college football team relies upon the success the program has on identifying and recruiting the right players to help contribute to the program in the years to follow. While every college football fan understands that, one thing often lost when studying recruiting rankings is the fact that summer rankings can be manipulated to an extent.
Loading up on pledges will help a recruiting class rise in the rankings but the more important statistic is the ranking assigned to the individual recruits a school is landing commitments from and ultimately signing come December and February.
The recruiting rankings for the 2019 recruiting cycle have been regurgitated for months now during the seemingly never-ending offseason but here we wanted to look at the average commit rankings across the SEC to clue fans into how well their school is doing in terms of the quality, not quantity, of the prospects currently committed to their school.
While Alabama may have the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class for 2019, in terms of average commit rating, Georgia is the top dog in the nation as we reach the end of July.
