SEC school trending to land 4-star Stanford TE commitment

4-star Class of 2023 tight end Jaden Platt is currently committed to Stanford and has been since Dec. 16, 2021, but there’s a chance he could be headed to the SEC now with less than a full day left before Early Signing Day kicks off.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) now has the Florida Gators instead landing the pass-catcher, giving the Gators an 86.8 percent chance of receiving a commitment from him in the near future. According to the 247Sports Composite, Platt is the No. 4 tight end in the class, the No. 19 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 95 overall prospect in the country.
It will be interesting to see if the prospect out of Eaton High School (Haslet, Texas) stays in the south, and would certainly give a boost to a Gators team that underperformed in 2022 and lost some key pieces to graduation and the NFL Draft after the season.
