The scheduled recovery time following hip replacement surgery is between six to eight weeks. For Nick Saban, it was less than 48 hours.

While it may be hard to believe, Saban managed to make a return to his office two days after hip replacement surgery last week. There’s no doubt he’s far from 100 percent as he will still need to rehab and recovery from his surgery but if rival coaches planned to use Saban’s age or health against him in recruiting, the leader of the Crimson Tide program sent a clear message last week when he made it back into work as quickly as he did.

Don’t let the surgery fool you, Saban is not leaving coaching anytime soon.
