SEC Shorts is back once again, taking stock of the Week 8 results with their latest episode! This time, the show takes the teams to SEC court, and it’s safe to say this goes down as one of the wildest endings to an episode yet.
The court opens with South Carolina surprisingly making a case against itself. That’s right, the “good” Gamecocks are pursuing a restraining order against the “bad” Gamecocks after the team has displayed a dual nature throughout the season, including the “good” version laying a Week 8 blowout against Oklahoma.
Florida and Kentucky make an appearance, but they are both interested in interrogating the Grim Reaper as to why he hasn’t made an entrance in regard to their head coaches.
As for the case to be the No. 1 team in the SEC, surprising representatives from LSU and Texas A&M make their case ahead of a Week 9 game to decide the top of the league standings.
Tennessee does get playfully called for smoking a cigar in the courtroom after beating Alabama, but that is not the most serious offense. The judge references his “standards” to uphold while calling out the Vols for rushing the field after beating a seriously downtrodden Alabama this year.
Texas and the SEC officials celebrating a new worst call of the season also make an appearance, but the episode pivots and ends with Georgia before the judge. The Bulldogs receive passing colors from the judge but face a deranged visit from “Hope” with the admonition that there’s no way Georgia can screw things up now… right?
