The 2018 season is still a few months away, but the preseason rankings are starting to roll in.
Recently, the SEC’s sports information directors projected the SEC West and East races, and now, they’ve ranked all 14 teams in order.
As you can see below, through a poll issued by AL.com, the conference SIDs think Alabama will be the best team in the conference, followed by Georgia and Auburn:
- No. 1 — Alabama
- No. 2 — Georgia
- No. 3 — Auburn
- No. 4 — LSU
- No. 5 — Texas A&M
- No. 6 — South Carolina
- No. 7 — Mississippi State
- No. 8 — Florida
- No. 9 (tie) — Missouri
- No. 9 (tie) — Kentucky
- No. 11 — Ole Miss
- No. 12 — Tennessee
- No. 13 — Arkansas
- No. 14 — Vanderbilt
Again, summer camps are only just getting underway, so things will likely change before September.
However, this is a good early look at how things stand at the moment.
