This week’s SEC action was highlighted by the epic matchup of Texas A&M and Tennessee. This is because LSU vs. Florida was cancelled, Vandy vs. Kentucky was a defensive game, Auburn dominated Mississippi State and the Tide rolled another conference foe in Arkansas.
These are your stat leaders from Week 6 in the SEC.
Most passing yards (individual)
Austin Allen was trailing the whole game, but performed admirably in the face of bad blocking and an elite Alabama secondary. Joshua Dobbs threw for a ton of empty yards but was pretty ineffective until he turned it on in crunch time. Jalen Hurts and the Alabama offense have looked unstoppable at times.

Trayveon Williams had a good day, but his best and worst moment came on the same play. His 71-yard scamper to preserve the A&M lead electrified the crowd until Tennessee poked the ball out of the end zone and used the ensuing possession to force overtime. Kamryn Pettway filled in for the injured Kerryon Johnson with style, trampling Mississippi State for 169 yards and 3 TDs. Sony Michel posted his first 100-yard game of the season.

Most receiving yards (individual)
Alvin Kamara just missed on making the top three in rushing, and here he is at the top in receiving. His performance was huge as he not only scored two touchdowns on the ground but led the entire SEC with 161 receiving yards and a TD through the air. This year, Arkansas has turned into a pass-first team, and Jared Cornelius is seeing the benefits as he’s currently tied for fifth in the conference in receiving yards. ArDarius Stewart has proved a great compliment to teammate Calvin Ridley at Alabama, as the tandem often takes turns on these leaderboards.

Most total yards (team)
This one almost isn’t fair because of the circumstances of this game. Two high-powered offenses, a lot of defensive injuries and the bedlam of a game that was Tennessee vs. Texas A&M. Alabama handled Arkansas pretty comfortably on the road.

Texas A&M has been getting a ton of love for its balanced attack this year, and it’s one of the reasons why many pundits are saying this team is one of Kevin Sumlin’s best at A&M. That was on full display against Tennessee, which posted a solid total of 282 behind Alvin Kamara and Joshua Dobbs.

Most rushing yards allowed
That aforementioned game was, and continues to be, bonkers. South Carolina had no answer for the two-headed monster of Sony Michel and Nick Chubb, who both went over 100 yards on Sunday. Brian Herrien also contributed 82 yards.

Fewest rushing yards allowed
Finally some new faces in this list. Georgia stonewalled South Carolina in Columbia on Sunday. Arkansas’ passing success was due in part to its failure on the ground in the face of Alabama’s dominant front seven. Auburn just mauled Mississippi State in a game where the Bulldogs’ offense never looked on track.

Most passing yards allowed
It was an air show in Fayetteville as the Tide struck early and the Hogs played catch-up. After putting defensive coordinator John Chavis on Saturday’s tickets, Texas A&M gave up 684 yards, but it’ll gladly take the win – and the seven turnovers they forced.

Fewest passing yards allowed
These three are more a function of the teams they played, rather than the defensive units involved. Auburn is particularly impressive, though, as it took the lead early and held on throughout. Vandy and Kentucky are listless at the quarterback spot right now, but one of them had to win.
