We’re exactly halfway through the college football season, and the SEC has been as crazy and unpredictable as any conference in America. Through seven weeks of action, here are the biggest questions every SEC team must answer in the second half of the season:
RELATED: SEC’s biggest takeaways of Week 7
1. Alabama: Can Alabama find more consistency on offense with Blake Sims at quarterback?
2. Arkansas: Will Arkansas learn how to close out wins in tight games against SEC opponents?
3. Auburn: Can quarterback Nick Marshall present enough of a threat through the air to keep opposing defenses honest?
4. Florida: Will Treon Harris ever become the team’s full-time starter at quarterback? And if he does, will he lead Florida to at least seven wins?
5. Georgia: Can Georgia maintain its spot atop the SEC East standings if Todd Gurley is ruled out for the rest of the season?
6. Kentucky: Does Kentucky have the talent and the mental toughness to win the East?
7. LSU: Will Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris assert himself as the undisputed starter at quarterback?
8. Mississippi: Can Bo Wallace continue to play turnover-free football like he has in recent weeks as Ole Miss pursues an SEC West title?
9. Mississippi State: Is Mississippi State good enough to finish the regular season with an undefeated record?
10. Missouri: Can Mizzou protect quarterback Maty Mauk as the Tigers aim to regroup in the second half of the year?
11. South Carolina: Will Steve Spurrier’s coaching struggles continue? And if so, will he walk away from coaching after this season?
12. Tennessee: Will Tennessee’s young core beat an SEC team other than Vanderbilt this season?
13. Texas A&M: Can Texas A&M’s defense (specifically its run defense) do enough to help the Aggies high-scoring offense?
14. Vanderbilt: Will Vanderbilt win another game this season? (Commodores fans should circle the Nov. 1 showdown with Old Dominion as Vandy’s best chance at a third victory.)
