Power ranking the SEC’s receivers after championship Saturday

The next time most of these SEC pass-catchers take the field, they will be playing in a bowl game. Many receivers are knocking on the door of a 1,000-yard season, but only one has crossed the mark so far.
The 2015 SEC Championship Game featured two Alabama receivers in the top-1o power rankings, and one Florida receiver who had the chance to bump someone, but ultimately didn’t make the cut.
Cumulative statistics played a large part in the rankings, but trends and consistency were also a factor. The best passing attacks were found in the SEC West (Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas particularly) and the division’s receivers reaped the benefits.
Here are our top-10 SEC receivers heading into bowl season:
10. ARDARIUS STEWART, ALABAMA
Stewart and Florida’s Antonio Callaway both have solid cases to make the top-10, finishing with similar yardage numbers (600 to 603) on their extended seasons. Stewart has been trending upward lately, and had a better SEC Championship Game (4 catches, 64 yards, TD) than Callaway (a 46-yard catch).
2015 season: 54 catches, 600 yards, 4 TD
9. MALCOLM MITCHELL, GEORGIA
2015 season: 53 catches, 751 yards, 4 TD
8. JOSH REYNOLDS, TEXAS A&M
2015 season: 40 catches, 730 yards, 5 TD
7. DREW MORGAN, ARKANSAS
2015 season: 55 catches, 751 yards, 10 TD
6. CHRISTIAN KIRK, TEXAS A&M
2015 season: 70 catches, 925 yards, 6 TD
5. CALVIN RIDLEY, ALABAMA
Ridley slides up from No. 6 after an impressive SEC Championship game (8 catches, 102 yards) in which he did battle with Florida’s talented secondary, including CB Vernon Hargreaves III, a projected early first-round NFL draft pick. Kirk has the better numbers for the season, but he cooled off after a sensational September while Ridley looks to be hitting his stride.
2015 season: 75 catches, 893 yards, 5 TD
4. DE’RUNNYA WILSON, MISSISSIPPI STATE
2015 season: 55 catches, 822 yards, 9 TD
3. PHAROH COOPER, SOUTH CAROLINA
2015 season: 66 catches, 973 yards, 8 TD
2. FRED ROSS, MISSISSIPPI STATE
2015 season: 81 catches, 933 yards, 4 TD
1. LAQUON TREADWELL, OLE MISS
2015 season: 76 catches, 1,082 yards, 8 TD
