The Arkansas Razorbacks outlasted the South Carolina Gamecocks 69-64 Thursday night.

The Hogs advance to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament to face the red hot Florida Gators.

Two back-to-back plays from senior Jaylen Barford helped seal the deal against the Gamecocks late in the second half. Barford hit a deep contested three pointer, and he stole an in-bounds pass on the very next possession and made the layup. The quick five-point swing was massive. Barford finished with a team-high 17 points. Guard Daryl Macon also added 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.

South Carolina’s Chris Silva and Maik Kotsar each finished with 15 points.

Perhaps the biggest difference in the game was Arkansas making 23-26 (88 percent) free throws.

Arkansas is a very good team right now. The Hogs are deep, athletic and can score. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if the Hogs win the SEC Tournament and make a serious run in the NCAA Tournament.

The Hogs will play the Gators Friday night at 9:00 p.m. ET.
