A second Alabama staff member is leaving for Tennessee, per AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.

Analyst Garrett Cox is leaving to join Jeremy Pruitt’s staff in Knoxville in the same role. Cox is a Georgia graduate and started his coaching career with the Bulldogs as a student assistant in 2006. He then left for Georgia Southern University as the video coordinator.

Cox has coached at stops including Auburn, Fort Scott Community College and Texas Southern prior to starting at Alabama in 2015.

He joins former Alabama director of player development Kerry Stevenson in leaving the Crimson Tide for Tennessee this offseason, and Stevenson had some very interesting things to say about the move.

Alabama’s on-field coaching staff had major changes from 2018 to 2019, and the support staff did, too.
