Mississippi State CB Cedric Jiles is back at practice this week after missing the first month of the 2016 season with a broken arm.
Jiles, who suffered the injury in preseason camp, is anxious to get back on the field, coach Dan Mullen told The Clarion-Ledger:
“For him the fact that it wasn’t going to be a season long injury really motivated him to work to get back and give himself the ability to get on the field even if it’s in a limited role be able to play for us this week,” Mullen said.
Mullen said Jiles would likely be limited in this weekend’s game against Auburn:
“Fortunately he’s in pretty good physical condition as an athlete,” Mullen said. “You’ve just gotta take it slow. You’ve gotta build up. At the end of the week, we’ll see how many reps he has for this game.”
The Bulldogs and Tigers are scheduled to square off at noon Eastern time on the SEC Network.
