On Auburn’s first touchdown in a blowout win over Mississippi State on Saturday night, RB Boobee Whitlow got up close and personal with Bully, the Bulldogs’ mascot.
Whitlow slid into the dog after he was pushed out of bounds in the end zone, but fortunately both player and animal were OK.
After the game, WR Seth Williams said he saw the play and was worried Bully was going to bite Whitlow. That led to this hilarious quote:
Auburn WR Seth Williams on RB Boobee Whitlow crashing into the Mississippi State mascot on his first touchdown: “I was like, ‘Oh, snap.’ I thought he was gonna bite him… I ran over there. I was finna square up with the dog.’”

Bulldogs are tough, so Bully probably could have held his own against Williams and Whitlow, but fortunately, all was OK and no one had to fight a dog.
Gotta keep that head on a swivel on the sidelines, Bully!
