Shane Beamer compliments Arkansas linebacker ahead of SEC opener

Shane Beamer saw Arkansas linebacker Drew Sanders at a Georgia camp when he worked for the Bulldogs as a special teams coordinator. He knew immediately he could be a player.
“We knew he would be an absolute freak out of high school,” Beamer said Tuesday at his weekly press conference.
Sanders was a force Week 1 against a Cincinnati team that is talented, but a shell of its former self. The junior linebacker recorded 5 tackles, 1 sack and 3 solo tackles in the winning effort.
SEC play is a whole different animal. Beamer and South Carolina need a signature win early in the season, but the Razorbacks will be no easy test at home.
We’ll see if the Gamecocks have it in them.
