Shane Beamer is not worried about South Carolina’s run game.
He explained the discrepancy between throwing and passing on Tuesday, branding Spencer Rattler as an NFL caliber quarterback that he can’t help but feed the ball.
Beamer on a long diatribe about the run game, finding balance, etc.
“We’ve got an NFL caliber quarterback and I’d be an idiot to say we’re going to run it 60 times per game.”
Added he felt better about the run game coming out of the Arkansas game than vs. Georgia State.

Rattler showed flashes at Oklahoma of being a strong quarterback, and certainly still could at South Carolina. The Gamecocks need to see something from Rattler in the coming weeks to show that player from Oklahoma can still be reached.
The Gamecocks rushed for only 40 yards against Arkansas on 29 carries. That, to state the obvious, has to be better against a good team such as Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky or Tennessee.
