South Carolina quarterback Zeb Noland underwent surgery Tuesday for a meniscus tear in his right knee.
The injury is not believed to be serious and the hope is that Noland will be able to play in the Gamecocks’ next game on November 6 against Florida.
During the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday, South Carolina coach Shane Beamer offered an update on Noland’s status following the procedure.
“Zeb Noland had surgery yesterday…went really well,” Beamer said. “He’s back in the facility this morning, moving around pretty good, believe it or not, after a procedure like that yesterday.”

Noland also missed time earlier in the season with a hand injury, but he came off the bench 2 weeks ago to lead the Gamecocks to a come-from-behind victory over Vanderbilt.
The graduate transfer has completed 39-of-67 passes for 512 yards, 5 touchdowns, and an interception this season.
