Shane Beamer delivered some unfortunate news Tuesday afternoon. Cornerback David Spaulding is officially expected to miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury. Beamer confirmed it Tuesday while also updated media on other injuries around the program.
Of note, running back MarShawn Lloyd and senior safety BJ Gibson did not practice Tuesday after injuries suffered earlier this year. Gibson was injured against Vanderbilt while Lloyd missed the game against the Commodores entirely.
Beamer on injuries:
Gibson got his MRI back, he’s day-to-day. Didn’t do much today.
MarShawn Lloyd didn’t do much today, either, but said he felt great.
David Spaulding, as they suspected, is done for the year.

The Gamecocks are back in action this week against Florida looking to score their 7th win on the season.
