Sharrif Floyd had to leave his post as the Cowboys’ assistant defensive line coach late in the 3rd quarter on Sunday.

According to CBS’ Tracy Wolfson, Floyd fainted on the sideline and required medical attention. Per Wolfson’s report, he was able to get walk under his own power and go to the locker room.

While nothing official has been shared by the Cowboys, the press box at AT&T Stadium announced that Floyd has left the game for medical evaluation.

In any case, that’s a scary situation for Floyd. He’s in his first season as an assistant coach for the Cowboys. Prior to joining the Cowboys, he was a student assistant for Florida’s football team over the past couple of seasons.

As a player, Floyd was a first-team All-American for Florida back in 2012. He also earned first-team All-SEC honors for that season. He went on to become a 1st round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft and played several season for the Minnesota Vikings.
