Shot at Mike Mayock? Cam Robinson doesn’t appreciate anyone doubting his skills at the NFL level
After starting at left tackle for the premier college football program in the nation the last three seasons, Cam Robinson has the ideal training experience necessary toward a successful career at playing the tackle position at the next level. Despite his strong track record of protecting the blindside blocking for several Alabama quarterbacks and paving the way for one elite running back after another, not everyone is sold on Robinson’s prospects as a tackle at the NFL level.
Those questioning his skill set include NFL Network’s draft analyst Mike Mayock. Mayock apparently believes Robinson best projects as an offensive guard at the game’s highest level of competition.

Despite an impressive showing Friday during the NFL Combine, Robinson didn’t let the “criticism” of his skill set rest. Soon after competing on the field in Indianapolis with his fellow offensive lineman prospects, Robinson sent out this message, which appears to be directed at Mayock’s evaluation.

It will be interesting to see if Mayock takes Robinson up on his invitation next week. It’s also possible Mayock’s evaluation changes before the draft arrives. Either way, until a team makes it official and calls Robinson’s name to the stage during the 2017 NFL Draft, the former Alabama lineman must continue to work hard in order to prove to his doubters wrong.
