On a big recruiting weekend for the Florida Gators, head coach Dan Mullen is getting some good news.

Late Friday night, 2021 quarterback Carlos Del Rio announced his pledge to UF at the school’s “Friday Night Lights” camp. Hours later, Florida’s top pledge for 2020 has firmed up his commitment to the Gators.

Lake Wales, Florida DT Gervon Dexter tweeted Saturday morning that he is shutting his recruitment down and will not take any other visits. The tall interior defender (6-6, 286 pounds), is rated 4-stars and ranked the No. 3 defensive tackle, No. 7 Florida product and No. 39 prospect overall nationally in the class on the 247Sports Composite.

Dexter committed to Florida on Nov. 3, 2018. Since then, he has received scholarship offers from Alabama (Jan. 16, 2019), Texas A&M (Jan. 28), Miami (Jan. 29) and Arkansas (Feb. 5). His other offers include Georgia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
