Some plays are made. Others are created.
And sometimes, quarterbacks just go into playground mode and chest-bump at the result.
That was certainly the case last weekend when LSU’s Brandon Harris, facing a 3rd-and-15 for which there are few plays schemed, nearly fled the pocket before firing deep to Tyron Johnson.
If that’s an SEC cornerback covering Johnson, he might have thought otherwise. But against Western Kentucky, he took a shot.
The result was one of the top skill plays of the week — and an easy decision for our Skill or Scheme judge and jury, Stephen Garcia.
