Skip Bayless is obviously known as a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. However, that isn’t the only team he cheers for, with another one of his teams pulling off one of the biggest upsets in SEC history on Saturday.

Vanderbilt knocked off No. 1 Alabama, 40-35 giving the school its first-ever win against a No. 1 team. Bayless went to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate the win and give props to the entire program.

Bayless attended Vanderbilt on a sports writing scholarship, and he majored in English and history.

The Commodores were close to upsetting then-No. 7 Missouri a couple weeks ago, but missed a FG in double overtime to lose. Vanderbilt has continued to improve under coach Clark Lea, but the win against Alabama is the biggest in the history of the football program.

Usually, coaches will give a coach speak “onto the next game” mentality after the win, but Lea even said there needed to be some celebration.

“This isn’t a finish point, but it’s a hell of an arrival,” Lea told the reporter after the game. “This is the dream right here. For the next 12 hours I’m going to enjoy the dream.”

There are going to be way more people than Bayless and Lea enjoying the game tonight in Nashville, but Lea will be onto Kentucky tomorrow.
