Former 5-star Georgia linebacker Smael (He said Wednesday that his name is mispronounced a lot, pronounced, “Smile”) Mondon is freakishly athletic.
He wasn’t a mainstay on Georgia’s all-time defense last season, but he’s put himself in a good position to be a threat in 2022 after a strong offseason.
The Bulldogs are missing three linebackers from last year’s unit, three spots head coach Kirby Smart has to fill before Georgia’s strong opening test against Oregon in Week 1. Mondon is in contention, but he’s far from satisfied with where he is at this point in the process.
“I’m not really satisfied with where I’m at right now, so I just want to keep pushing and getting better,” Mondon said, via Dawgnation.
