So long Gus? Auburn fans want to hire controversial former SEC head coach

As you might expect, Gus Malzahn is not particularly popular with the Auburn fanbase after the No. 15 Tigers’ lost to unranked South Carolina 30-22 in Columbia on Saturday.

Malzahn is seemingly always linked to the “hot seat” except after wins over Alabama. While there is no indication of any changes to Malzahn’s job status, plenty of college football fans, including AU supporters, were talking about a certain controversial, offensive-minded former SEC head coach taking over for Malzahn on The Plains.
