Social media roasts Mark Emmert after NCAA president’s compensation revealed

For a variety of reasons, NCAA president Mark Emmert is one of the least popular figures in all of sports. It’s no surprise that Sports Twitter had a field day when Emmert’s 2019 compensation was revealed to be $2.9 total. The amount came from USA TODAY’s Steve Berkowitz.

The replies were about as one might expect.

Bryan Fischer of Athlon Sports points out that Emmert has made in this range in recent years.

In the current climate surrounding compensation in sports, however, Emmert isn’t popular.
