Back in November, Vanderbilt sophomore S Zaire Jones was suspended for the remainder of the season for violating a team policy. This came after he was suspended the first two weeks of the year for an assault charge over the summer.
Now, it appears the troubled player will move on from the Vanderbilt program.
As you can see below, Jones announced on Tuesday afternoon that he feels it is in his best interest to finish his college career at a new university:
First and foremost I would like to thank Vanderbilt and it’s supporting staff for the opportunity they have given me, but I’ve decided that the best option for My family and I is to finish up my student athletic career at a different university this year. ‼️

Between suspensions, Jones played in five games this season, recording 13 tackles (1.5 for a loss) and defending two passes.
Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but his time at Vanderbilt is now over.
