The University of South Carolina started spring practice on February 26, with the spring game scheduled for April 4; however, the schedule may change completely now following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The Gamecocks announced Thursday afternoon that spring practice will skip a week from March 15-21 with the school taking an extended spring break.

“Due to the extension of spring break on the University of South Carolina campus, there will be no spring football practices held during the week of March 15-21,” the statement read. “Updates to the spring practice schedule will be announced as they come available.”

Obviously, there’s so much up in the air following the outbreak of the virus that it’s unknown when things will return to normal.

The SEC suspended all spring sports games through the end of March.
