The South Carolina Gamecocks have K Parker White returning to school next year, and he’s become a very solid kicker.
However, they may have landed his eventual replacement, and they didn’t have to go far to do it.
On Sunday, 2-star K Alex Herrera from Columbia announced that he was committing to coach Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks:

According to the 247Sports composite, Herrera is the No. 23 kicker in the class of 2019 and the No. 64 overall recruit from the state of South Carolina.
Per his 247Sports page, Herrera doesn’t have a scholarship offer from South Carolina, so it’s unclear if he recently received one or if he’ll join the team as a preferred walk-on.
