South Carolina adds transfer guard from Coastal Carolina

South Carolina is working to put its first roster under new coach Lamont Paris together, and it picked up a key piece on Wednesday.

The latest addition to the Gamecocks’ roster via the transfer portal comes by way of nearby Coastal Carolina.

As you can see below, 6-6 guard Ebrima Dibba announced on his Instagram that he was committing to South Carolina:

Dibba appeared in 32 games for the Chanticleers this past season, starting 30 of them. He averaged 8.1 points, 5.4 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.

We’ll see what sort of role he carves out for himself under Paris in 2022-23.
