The South Carolina Gamecocks have added a long snapper to their roster, and he’ll join the program as a walk-on.
This transfer comes to Columbia from Appalachian State, where he appeared in three games for the Mountaineers in 2018, thus preserving his redshirt.
As you can see below, Max Durschlag announced via Twitter that he was committing to South Carolina:

Since he preserved his redshirt, Durschlag will be eligible to play for the Gamecocks right away, and he’ll have four years of eligibility remaining.
Whether or not he wins the starting job right away remains to be seen, but he’ll have four years to make an impact on the program.
