Before he could make much of an impact within the program, freshman guard David Beatty has left Frank Martin’s South Carolina team.

Beatty made 29 appearances last season for the Gamecocks. He averaged three points, one rebound and just under one assist per game. Beatty joins Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia and Khadim Gueye as players that have left the South Carolina program this offseason.

The school confirmed the news Monday afternoon and provided the following statement from Martin regarding Beatty’s departure:

“We want to thank David for everything he did for our program during his time with us, and we wish him the best on and off the court moving forward.”
