South Carolina basketball adds pair of commitments from overseas

Lamont Paris has added Finland to the South Carolina recruiting blueprint, as the Gamecocks added a pair of recruits from Finland.
Guard Morris Ugusuk and big man Okku Federiko each committed to the Gamecocks.
Ugusuk plays internationally in Finland for the Omnia Basketball Academy, and according to ProBallers.com, Ugusuk averaged 12.3 points this season while shooting 44.1% from the field.
Federiko, who plays for Omnia Basketball Academy, committed to the Gamecocks over offers from Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Duquesne along with interest from other schools. Ugusuk had interest from Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Duquesne and Dayton.
Federiko played for the Elite Youth Basketball League, and averaged 10 points over 23.4 minutes per game. He shot 48.1% from the field. He averaged 8.9 rebounds per game, 3.2 on the offensive end with 4 blocks in 9 games.
South Carolina has 2 open scholarship spots in the class of 2023 and are waiting on the decision of Wofford transfer B.J. Mack.
