South Carolina basketball recently revealed which out-of-conference teams will be faced in 2023.
The Gamecocks will be seeking to improve after a disappointing 2022-23 season in which the team won just 11 games. Only Ole Miss and LSU finished with a worse SEC record than the Gamecocks in Lamont Paris’ first season at the helm. Paris’ squad will be helped by the return of standout guard Meechie Johnson, who finished 2nd on the team in scoring last season.
The Gamecocks have a couple of interesting matchups early, with road games at DePaul and Virginia Tech and a home tilt with Notre Dame all in November.

The matchup at Clemson on Dec. 6 is one Gamecocks’ fans will be circling on the calendar. The in-state rivals faced off in 2022 and the Gamecocks won a tighly-contest game by a score of 60-58.
The Gamecocks will tip off the season at home on Nov. 6 against USC Upstate.
