This offseason, the South Carolina Gamecocks landed a transfer cornerback from Kansas, Karon Prunty.
However, with Week 1 rapidly approaching, it appears the Gamecocks won’t have Prunty’s services this fall.
Per Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports, Prunty has re-entered the NCAA transfer portal and will explore his options for the 2021 season:

Prunty was a freshman with the Jayhawks in 2020. He recorded 26 total tackles (1 for a loss), 9 pass breakups, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble.
Coming out of high school in Virginia as a member of the 2020 class, Prunty was a 3-star prospect. Per the 247Sports composite rankings, he was the No. 137 cornerback in the class of 2020 and the No. 31 overall recruit from the state of Virginia.
