The Michigan Wolverines will start freshman Brandon Peters at quarterback against South Carolina in Monday’s Outback Bowl, with John O’Korn serving as the backup.

However, coach Will Muschamp and the South Carolina defenders will be ready for both quarterbacks when the game kicks off.

According to LB Skai Moore, stopping the run is the most important thing for the Gamecocks’ defense, and from there, they can adjust to whoever is playing quarterback (via The State):

“They are going to try to run the ball on us,” Moore said. “Once we stop the run and make them throw it, we should be in the advantage.

“We are just going to show up Saturday and see who starts.”

Muschamp added that the Wolverines do the same things offensively no matter who is quarterback, so they’ll prepare accordingly:

“I mean, they are who they are schematically, in my opinion,” Muschamp said.

The Wolverines have started three different quarterbacks this year, so it’ll be interesting to see how many play on Monday.

The Outback Bowl kicks off at noon Eastern time and can be seen on ESPN2.
