South Carolina picked up its third commitment from a receiver for the Class of 2016 on Saturday.
The Gamecocks got a verbal commitment from three-star prospect Chavis Dawkins, who made the announcement at a gathering in Moore, S.C., and revealed that decision on Twitter.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound rising senior out of Duncan, S.C., chose South Carolina over North Carolina State and others.
Dawkins, a Shrine Bowl selection and one of the top senior risers in the Palmetto State for the 2016 cycle, was offered by South Carolina a day earlier but has reportedly had contact with the school ever since Will Muschamp was hired.
