South Carolina looks to develop more playmakers on offense

In the SEC, you can never have too many playmakers. For proof, look at the success Alabama has had with a roster littered with five-star recruits.
In order for South Carolina to compete in the SEC East, the Gamecocks know they need more star players on offense.
RB David Williams told The State that with injuries so common in football, having multiple stars at each position is important:
“I think you probably need more people, especially with the league we play in,” junior running back David Williams said. “People get beat up every play. As you saw Saturday, people were getting injured left and right so you have to be prepared.”
Backup QB Perry Orth echoed Williams’ sentiments, saying the Gamecocks need to have some more second-string guys who can be counted on to contribute:
“You can’t have eight guys on the field to target, but is good to have eight guys or so you can count on,” Orth said. “It’s always good to have subs.”
QB Jake Bentley, RBs Rico Dowdle and Williams and WRs Deebo Samuel and Bryan Edwards are a good start, but the Gamecocks know they need more to keep pace with Florida, Georgia and Tennessee in the East.
