South Carolina makes top 5 for 4-star LB out of Philadelphia, Clemson legacy

Philadelphia native and St. Joseph’s Prep School linebacker Josiah Trotter has 5 schools in his top group, including South Carolina.
The Gamecocks are joined by Clemson, Penn State, Virginia Tech and West Virginia in Trotter’s top 5 posted on Twitter. Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Josiah’s older brother, signed with Clemson as part of the Tigers’ 2021 class. Their father, Jeremiah Trotter Sr., played for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Josiah Trotter is listed at 6-2, 230 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 7 Pennsylvania product, No. 26 linebacker and No. 269 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Trotter’s recruiting profile shows 13 scholarship offers, including Tennessee and Texas A&M.
