Has South Carolina become a basketball school? Probably not, as football is still king in the South but with the men’s team advancing to its first Final Four in school history and the women’s team playing Monday to advance to a Final Four of its own, basketball fever has officially taken over in Columbia.
So much so, that the Gamecocks are moving up the game time for Saturday’s Garnet & Black Spring game up a couple of hours. Originally set to begin at 2 p.m. ET, the annual spring game will now begin at Noon ET, the school announced Monday.

The reason for doing this is simple, the men’s basketball team plays Gonzaga that same day at 6 p.m. ET on CBS. The men’s Final Four will be played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
