South Carolina picks up commitment from Virginia OG

South Carolina’s 2020 recruiting class continues to grow. Commitment No. 13 is on the board now as Freedom (Woodbridge, Virginia) OG Vershon Lee pledged to the Gamecocks Monday night.

On the 247Sports Composite, Lee is a 3-star recruit and rated the No. 17 Virginia product, No. 45 offensive guard and No. 724 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. He participated in Nike’s “The Opening” regional competition camp in May, checking in at 6-3, 304 pounds and logged a 5.40-second 40-yard dash time, 4.75-second shuttle and 27.20-inch vertical. He currently has nine scholarship offers, including Tennessee and Virginia Tech. He showed interest in N.C. State and Pittsburgh prior to committing to South Carolina.
