It doesn’t seem likely that South Carolina will face Kentucky QB Drew Barker, but that hasn’t stopped the Gamecocks from preparing for him anyway. The Gamecocks are taking a better safe than sorry approach.

Barker was carted off the field Saturday in the first quarter of the Wildcats’ win over New Mexico State. He was still listed as the No. 1 quarterback on UK’s depth chart Monday, but coach Mark Stoops isn’t expecting him to practice on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Stoops: It would have to be a "miraculous recovery" for Barker to return to practice healed and ready to go Wednesday.
