South Carolina reportedly adds two non-conference games to future schedules
The Gamecocks have been busy building up their future non-conference slate.
Kevin Kelley of FBSchedules.com has learned that South Carolina is now set to play Troy on Sept. 25, 2021, and Georgia State on Sept. 3, 2022. Both will be home games in Columbia for the Gamecocks.
With the addition of the two games, the Gamecocks have a full 2022 non-conference slate lined up and now only need one game to complete its 2021 non-conference schedule. South Carolina was already scheduled to play Clemson and at East Carolina in 2021. In 2022, the Gamecocks were already set to host Charlotte and Wofford with a trip to Clemson scheduled for the end of the regular season.
Considering South Carolina’s annual showdown with Clemson, the approach in Columbia appears to be loading up on home non-conference opponents under Will Muschamp. Not a bad strategy for racking up wins for the Gamecocks.
