Mitch Jeter has found a new home. The South Carolina transfer kicker announced Thursday that he is headed to Notre Dame.
Jeter started his career with the Gamecocks mainly as a kickoff specialist from 2020-2021. Then in 2022, he took over as starting kicker and hit 95% of his extra point attempts and 100% of his field goal attempts. This season, Jeter hit 97.1% of attempted extra points and 85.7% of attempted field goals.

One of Jeter’s most memorable plays came in South Carolina’s loss to North Carolina earlier this season. Jeter pulled off an onside kick to himself to start the 2nd half, mimicking the likes of Pat McAfee.

Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman went back to the portal for his kicker. Last year, the Irish brought in Spencer Shrader, a graduate transfer from USF.
