Welcome to Week 8 of the college football season!

Week 7 featured an exciting week with multiple upsets of top 10 teams. In the SEC, Auburn blew a 20-point lead to LSU while front runners Alabama and Georgia put up big numbers in wins. Georgia is off this weekend while Alabama is a big favorite yet again in its matchup with Tennessee.

Teams continue to fight for positioning in the conference, but Alabama and Georgia are clearly in the drivers seat. It would take a big stumble for either team to lose its lead in the division.

No. 24 LSU is looking for its third straight win while No. 21 Auburn is looking to rebound from its loss during a trip to Arkansas. Missouri will take on non-conference opponent Idaho at home this weekend in an attempt to end the Tigers five-game losing streak.

Bill Connelly with SB Nation shared the S&P+ projections for Week 8, and here is how every SEC game is projected to turnout:

  • No. 1 Alabama 39, Tennessee (+36) 11 (Saturday, 3:30 PM ET, CBS)
  • No. 21 Auburn 33, Arkansas (+15.5) 20 (Saturday, 7:30 PM ET, SECN)
  • No. 24 LSU 31, Ole Miss (+7) 28 (Saturday, 7:15 PM ET, ESPN)
  • Mississippi State (-11.5) 34, Kentucky 20 (Saturday, 4:00 PM ET, SECN)
  • Missouri 31, Idaho (+14) 28 (Saturday, 12:00 PM ET, SECN)
